Car vs Scooter vs ATV vs E-Bike

| Scooter (50–125cc+) | Solo travelers/couples with a small backpack | Easy parking, economical, sense of freedom | License required; helmet mandatory; caution on windy days |
| ATV | Short rides, beach trips, for the experience | Stable at low speeds, simple handling | Not for fast roads; dust/noise; secure your belongings |
| E-Bike | Active travelers, short distances | Eco-friendly, easy to park, no fuel | Hilly island; plan battery range & shade/water stops |

Questions & Answers (FAQ)
If your license is from outside the EU/EEA, some companies require an IDP in addition to your national license. Check the terms before booking and bring both documents.
Usually no without written permission from the company. Most contracts restrict inter-island transport. Ask specifically if you plan to visit Milos, Serifos, or Paros.
Yes, but limited in July–August. If you drive only automatic, book early.
Yes. Greek law requires helmets for two-wheelers and ATVs. Rentals provide helmets—choose the right size.
Main roads are well paved, but there are hills, curves, and windy sections. If inexperienced, choose a small engine, low speeds, or a small car instead.
No. A typical small car is enough for most places. On mild dirt roads (if allowed by the contract), drive slowly and avoid off-road routes.
In the public parking areas at the village entrances, then walk. Avoid narrow lanes and private spaces to prevent fines or towing.
Gas stations are along main roads with schedules varying by season. For e-bikes/electric vehicles, ask your rental about charging points and plan your range.
Basic third-party liability is usually included. For extra peace of mind, consider CDW (collision damage waiver) and glass/tire coverage. Check the deductible and exclusions (e.g., underbody).
Usually a valid license (and IDP if needed), ID/passport, and credit card in the driver’s name. Minimum age: around 21–23 for cars and 18+ for scooters (depending on engine & company).
