Sifnos' climbing crags

The crags

The 4 climbing crags of Sifnos feature 70 routes varying in difficulty grade and altitude (from easy to medium hard 5b - 7b), making them ideal for beginners and climbing schools.

In summer, the crags lie in the shade almost all day long, providing the option to combine island holidays with climbing. All crags are at a short distance from the port (Kamares) and are accessible on foot.

Required equipment

Climbers should carry a 70m rope (some routes require shorter), 10-16 sets, shoes, helmet and baudrier.

All routes feature safety installations and carabiner belays.

Routes were opened under the auspices of the Municipal Community Enterprise of Sifnos by Dimitris Titopoulos, Antonis Tsesmetzoglou and Costas Tsouklidis.
